About Us

Our son Finnegan was diagnosed with Fragile X Syndrome in 2022 at 2 years old after many missed milestones and developmental delays. Before then I had only heard of Fragile X Syndrome in one of my college psychology classes. My husband and I dove into the research right away and we were lucky to have amazing doctors and therapists close by. With hard, intentional work and various supports in place, I’m happy to say that Finnegan is thriving today, but there will always be challenges ahead. Early diagnosis and intervention were crucial to his success and to our success as caregivers. Spreading awareness about Fragile X is important to me because the world isn’t set up for people like Finn. People with disabilities exist and deserve to live meaningful lives alongside the rest of us. Awareness is the first step toward real inclusion and that’s my goal!

    Fragile X Community Clothing is a brand for caregivers, advocates, self-advocates, parents, therapists, teachers, family and friends who care about Fragile X visibility. Awareness is the first step toward understanding, inclusion and opportunity. We hope that this brand will spark curiosity, foster community, and be a small part of creating a better world for FX’ers and those who care about them.

  • Vision

    The future of this organization is expansive. We hope to move beyond support and advocacy for just Fragile X, and toward other disabilities and neurotypes as well. Our long term goal is to open a physical location to sell our merchandise along with everyday sensory tools and equipment, employ persons with disabilities, and host educational workshops as well as enjoyable respite activities.
